Got a new bag of rubber bands?
Partway through treatment, many of our patients leave an appointment with a small bag of elastics and a new daily routine. Those tiny bands do big work. They help line up your upper and lower teeth in ways braces alone won't.
Our latest blog answers the questions we hear most:
🦷 What do rubber bands do for braces?
🦷 How many hours a day should you wear them?
🦷 Why change them so often?
🦷 Is wearing extra bands a good idea?
🦷 Quick Elastics Tip
Wear your elastics close to full time, about 20 to 22 hours a day. Take them out to eat and brush, then pop in a fresh pair. Most delays come from missed hours, not from the bands themselves.
Doubling up won't speed things up. Extra force works against your plan, so stick to the pattern we gave you.
